6th - Abingdon Air & Country Show - Abingdon Airfield, Oxfordshire - Always one of the first displays of the year, Abingdon attracts a variety of civilian, warbirds and military displays alongside a country fayre. OX13 6JG

13th - Wings and Wheels - Henham Park, Suffolk - Large fly-in and small flying display in the spectacular grounds of Henham Park NR34 8AN

25th-27th - Aero Expo 2012 - Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire - General Aviation trade fair that includes several flying displays from general aviation types right through to powerful aerobatics aircraft NN6 0BN

26th-27th - Southend Festival of the Air 2012 - Southend Seafront, Essex
The first of the big seaside airshows takes place at Southend. Note this year on Saturday and Sunday! SS0 7RN

27th - Jubilee Air Show - IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire
The first Duxford Airshow of the year celebrates the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. CB22 4QR

June 2012

3rd - Shuttleworth Midsummer Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - Hopefully some fine midsummer weather will add to the atmosphere at Old Warden's second display of the year. SG18 9EP

8th - Dawlish Airshow - Devon - A change in date for 2012. The small but perfectly formed seaside airshow offering some varied views of the flying display along the iconic Dawlish coastline.

9th-10th - Air Britain Classic Fly-in - North Weald, Essex - The Air-Britain's Fly-In is organised by Air-Britain Ltd and is the longest established UK Fly-In organised independently by and for aviation enthusiasts. It offers pilots and aviators the opportunity to see what Air-Britain offers and provides aviation enthusiasts with the opportunity to appreciate, photograph and talk with the operators of the aircraft. 15th-17th - Cholmondeley Pageant of Power - Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire - The Cholmondeley Estate will welcome the cream of classic and modern performance and race cars, as well as racing bikes, helicopters, aerobatics, powerboats, explosive military combat displays, hovercrafts, fireworks concert, and much, much more. 16th - Throckmorton Airshow 2012 - Throckmorton Airfield, Worcestershire - The Throckmorton Air Show is the premier police and military aviation show in the UK. WR10 2LW

16th - June Evening Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The second evening show at Old Warden of the year. SG18 9EP

16th-17th - Margate's Big Event - Margate, Kent - A full flying display along the seafront at Palm Bay accompanies a packed ground show with live music and street entertainers CT9 3DF

16th-17th - Wings & Wheels - Wickenby, Lincolnshire - Small fly-in and air display at this popular GA airfield in Lincolnshire LN3 5AX

16th-17th - Weston Park Model Show - Weston Park, Shropshire - Model Airshow with full size acts in the grounds of Weston Park. TF11 8LE

17th - RAF Cosford Airshow 2012 - DCAE Cosford, Shropshire - The first RAF organised show of the year featured a varied mix of modern military, warbirds and civilian displays at this old-fashioned RAF base. WV7 3EY

23rd - RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day 2012 - Somerset - . One of many airshows to change it's dates due to the London Olympic Games. The Royal Navy's biggest airshow of the year with extensive air and ground displays for the UK and beyond BA22 8HB

23rd - RAF Musical Salute to the Queen's Jubilee - Loseley Park, Surrey - . RAF Bands will pay tribute to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee accompanied by some select flying participants GU3 1HS

23rd-24th - Lowestoft Seafront Air Festival - Suffolk - One of the large Seafront airshows held along some of Suffolk's finest beaches. NR33 0PQ

7th-8th - Royal International Air Tattoo 2012 - RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire - The world's biggest military airshow attracting participants from all corners of the globe for over eight hours of flying and extensive static displays GL7 4DG

9th-15th - Farnborough International 2012 - Farnborough Aerodrome, Hampshire - The major trade airshow and exhibition of the UK airshow calendar. GU14 6XN

18th-22nd - War and Peace Show 2012 - The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent - The largestr military vehicle spectacular in the world. Re-enactments will also feature historic warbirds and spectacular pyrotechnics. TN12 6PY

21st - Shuttleworth Evening Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - Your third chance of the year to soak up the special atmosphere of Old Warden's evening events SG18 9EP

21st-22nd - Sunderland Airshow 2012 - Sunderland Seafront, Tyne & Wear - The Sunderland Airshow boasts the largest crowds of any UK airshow over it's two days. SR6 8AB

21st-22nd - Windermere Airshow - The Glebe, Windermere, Cumbria - Small family airshow held over the largest lake in the Lake District with a stunning backdrop LA23 3HE

August 2012

4th-5th - Military & Flying Machines - Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Essex& London's premier military vehicle show featuring flying displays. RM14 2TN

9th-12th - Airbourne 2012 - Eastbourne Seafront, East Sussex - One of the Biggest and best seaside airshows. Expect strong RAF support along with the pick of warbirds and civilian displays BN21 3YT

11th - Shuttleworth Evening Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The August sunset will hopefully provide a stunning backdrop to another relaxed Old Warden Airshow. SG18 9EP

11th-12th - Combined Ops - The Military Show and Vintage Aircraft Weekend - Headcorn, Kent - an exciting military weekend with classic aircraft at the historic World War Two Advanced Landing Ground of Lashenden Airfield, now operated as Headcorn Aerodrome, in Kent. TN27 9HX

12th - Blackpool Air Show - Lancashire - The fabulous FREE event, which takes place over the famous Blackpool promenade. FY1 5JA

18th - Portmouth Air Festival - Portsmouth, Hampshire - New event for 2012 which will be centred the armed services. With an all-day air display and a wealth of activities, attractions and entertainments on the ground and out on the sea, the Portsmouth Air Festival promises to be a day to remember. Site TBC

18th - The Original Flying Proms - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - Classic Proms Music and Flying Displays - where better than Old Warden? SG18 9EP

19th - Sywell Airshow - Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire - Popular family air display featuring some of the best civilian display teams and historic aircraft. NN6 0BN

23rd-24th - Clacton Airshow 2012 - Clacton-on-Sea, Essex - The small but perfectly formed seaside airshow returns. Expect a varied mix of military, historic and barnstorming flying CO15 1LD (TBC)

26th - Little Gransden Charity Air & Car Show - Little Gransden, Cambridgeshire - This annual fundraiser for BBC's Children in Need is one of the best small airshows in the country with a fine mix of civilian and warbird acts. SG19 3BP

26th-27th - Dunsfold Wings and Wheels 2012 - Dunsfold Park, Surrey - The excellent celebration of motorsport and aviation returns in it's new two day format. THe flyng displays are themed heavily around the history of Dunsfold, Brooklands and Hawker Aircraft. GU6 8TB

26th-27th - Best of British Show - Cotswold Aiport, Kemble, Gloucestershire - A new event for 2012 celebrating the Best of British. The show will combine flying displays with all manner of ground shows celebrating British Brands and Innovation. GL7 6BA

1st-2nd - Fly to the Past 2012 - Oxford Airport, Oxfordshire - A mix of classic and vintage aircraft take to the skies over Oxford Airport.

2nd - Shuttleworth Pagaent Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The Pagaent features only aircraft that are part of, or have been part of this world famous collection. SG18 9EP

8th-9th - Northern Ireland Diamond Jubilee International Airshow - Portrush, Coleriaine, Northern Ireland A free 2-day seaside show with air displays and ground attractions. The picturesque coast around Portrush plays host to an impressive line-up of military and civilian display acts.

8th-9th - Southport Airshow - Southport Seafront, Lancashire - Unique venue in the UK with airshow taking place over the extensives sands rather than over water. PR8 1SB

8th-9th - Victory Show 2012 - Foxlands Farm, Cosby, Leicestershire - Big battle re-enactments with authentic military hardware and flying displays from historic aircraftLE9 1SG

8th-9th - Duxford Air Show - IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire
The two day Duxford Air Show is IWM's biggest event of the year attracting a wide range of display acts covering modern military, warbirds and cvilian acts CB22 4QR

9th - Seething Charity Air Day - Seething Airfield, Norfolk - Seething Airfield plays host to the annual Charity Airday with its usual varied mix of displays and aerobatics. NR15 1EL

13th - Jersey International Air Display -St Aubin's Bay, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands - One of the most exciting displays on the UK circuit takes places in St Aubins Bay adjacent to the island's capital - St Helier. Past highlights have been the Patrouille de France and J29 Tunnan from Sweden

13th - Guernsey RAFA/Battle of Britain Air Display - St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands - Taking place the same day as the Jersey Air Display is the RAFA show off the coast of Guernsey.

22nd - Shuttleworth Uncovered - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The final evening air display of the year is a unique chance to get up close to the stunning machinery at the collection and meet the people who care for and fly it! SG18 9EP

October 2012

7th - Shuttleworth Autumn Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The final chance to see aircraft from the world famous Shuttleworth Collection fly before the long winter months. SG18 9EP

14th - Duxford Autumn Air Show - IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire
The final major airshow of the year usually sees a rich mixture of different displays acts in the Cambridgeshire skies. CB22 4QR
